With over 20 years experience of working
with adults, families and young people, Eileen Murphy
Consultants works with the clients of, and trains staff
within Social Services, Criminal Justice, Education and
Mental Health.
The
Consultancy also works with the commercial sector to resolve
conflict and achieve change. All of our team have Management
experience in Social Services, Education and the commercial
fields.
The
Consultancy also offer a specialism in training Mentors.
The two models used by the Consultancy;
the “Examine, Repair & Move On” Approach
(Murphy ‘93) and the Solution Focused Brief Therapy
Model (de Shazer ‘85), are non-damaging, client-centred
and focus on working collaboratively to bring about change.
The Consultancy trains Social Workers; Education
staff ; Alcohol & Drug Addiction workers; Youth Offending
Teams; Mental Health workers; Foster Carers and Mentors in
their work with ‘vulnerable & disaffected’ young people;
adults and families. The Consultancy also works with men
in Prison and Prison Drug Rehabilitation Units in preparation
for release.
In
1993, Eileen Murphy created the format for the first Prevention
& Intervention Programme, a whole-team,
structured resource for working with families to prevent
breakdown, which has been implemented by 15 Local Authorities

Our Solution Focused School
and Preventing Disaffection & Exclusion
training is implemented with Teachers, SENCOs, Behaviour
Support Staff and Learning Mentors, nationwide including
Northern Ireland. Our Education Consultant, Kevin
Foley BA (Hons) Econ. PGCE has over 15 years
of working within inner-city schools.
Our
Solution Focused Residential Unit programme
was implemented by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council
in 2005 making it the first of its kind in the country.
