A friend of mine was invited to Princess Anne's wedding and I accompanied her to buy the gift (I know, I know but its a story....)

I have blogged elsewhere about how really interesting it is that the actor, Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock in Star Trek said that after a while playing the role, he started becoming more logical and disciplined in his personal life and continued taking on elements of Spock's positive behaviours. How Erickson would have mused over that.... not so much "fake it till you make it" more "choose a life and go live it". The latter, incidentially, being the title of a book that I am working on. Surprised how petulant I was not to get a spot on the plinth

I was surprised how petulant I was not to get a place on Anthony Gormley's plinth despite my enthusiastic application. I jumped the gun somewhat and was actually preparing my "set" before I realised that it was a possibility that I wouldnt be getting the call. I have taken part in these historic events throughout my life in London. I realise now that what I am doing is collecting stories for my grandchildren - a collection of "I was there.." stories.
